Colonoscopy

When do I need to get screened for colorectal cancer?

All men and women should consider being screened for colorectal cancer. Your individual risk factor which include

ethnicity, lifestyle and  family history will be used to determine when you should start getting checked. The American Cancer

Society recently recommended that adults without a  family history should begin colorectal cancer screening at age 45.

Below is document you can download that will explain the benefits, procedure details and the risks associated with a Colonoscopy. This has been provided by

The Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES)  and              American Gastroenterological Association
